We will greatly miss John at our reunion. It was an honor and pleasure to have known him. I enjoyed talking with John about his time in the service. My wife is a teacher and enjoyed swapping teacher stories with him. He will be missed by all. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. May you find comfort in knowing that our loss is heaven's gain. May you find comfort in remembering all the happy times that you spent with him. With Deepest Sympathy.

Poppie- you were the best grandpa a girl could ask for. Thank you for always being there for me and for 27 years of good laughs, sympathetic tears, and our sarcastic way! I will cherish the time we spent together and remember the good times for the rest of my life. I love you and miss you very much.

As a submarine veteran myself and a former Clamagore sailor as well, I have been blessed to have come to know this delightful man . Jack was the Clamagore personified. I can only say that our Good and Mighty Lord will be having Himself a grand time in Heaven now that John has arrived. My condolences and those of all his shipmates are extended to all of his children and grandchildren. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Fr. Aaron, CVA Chaplain

John - I shall miss you shipmate. As we often talked about - our careers were almost in parallel. Submarines - teacher - entered the Navy close together, qualified in submarines close together. I shall miss you John and I know that when you 'cross the bar' there will be many shipmates to greet you. Sail in Peace John. It was great to have served in the Navy with you on board the same submarine. Your shipmate - George

John, you certainly made our reunions fun. I don't know how the woman will get along without you. Your sea stories, the stories of your family especially grandchildren will be missed. If I can be half the Grandfather you were I'll be great. Sailor rest your oars

Being a wife of a Clamagore veteran, and a longtime friend of John's, I represent the women of the Clamagore Association in saying that he will be greatly missed at our reunions every October and visiting us in our homes. We have come to love John over the past twenty years and send all of you our deepest regrets.
