Francis P. Tobin Jr. (Pat) of Unionville, NY passed away on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at the age of 70. He was born on December 23, 1938 to Francis and Mary (Sheridan) Tobin in Yonkers where he was raised and graduated from Sacred Heart High School and he attended the University of Dayton. Mr. Tobin was a Senior Vice-President with Eifert French Insurance Corp. in Pelham until his retirement in 1999. Prior to that he was the founder and President of T. Associates in Yonkers since 1963. Mr. Tobin proudly served his country from 1958 - 1962 in the US Navy aboard the USS Halfbeak, a prenuclear Submarine. He was discharged a Chief Petty Officer Navigator and was a member of the US Sub-Vets and USS Halfbeak Assoc. Pat enjoyed his golf game and especially deep sea fishing. He also was a highly accomplished runner. He ran in the Yonkers and N.Y. C. Marathons, as well as the Ultra Marathon (62) miles). He was a Washington Redskins Fan and a Boston Red Sox's fan and an avid Yankee Hater. Mr. Tobin is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (Peters) Tobin of Unionville, NY and his 6 beloved children Bryant Pappas of Mahopac, Francis Patrick Tobin of Ossining, Christopher Tobin of Virginia, Kevin Tobin of Arizona, Kirk Pappas of Calif. And Kathleen Flusser of New Paltz, NY. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and three Brothers Daniel, Thomas and William Tobin. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Agnes "Ginger" Balbrock who died in 2007. Visiting Hours will be at The Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM .
